Before you go live: company details on this page are still placeholders. Fill them in at frontend/lib/legal.ts — this notice disappears once they are. Have a lawyer read these pages too; they are a solid starting draft, not legal advice.
Who is responsible for your data
[Legal entity name], operator of partybeasts, decides how your personal data is handled on this platform.
- Address
- [Registered address, City, State, PIN]
- support@partybeasts.in
- Grievance Officer
- [Officer name] · grievance@partybeasts.in
What we collect
- Account: name, email, and phone number if you sign in by phone. Optionally a city, a short bio, and your chosen avatar (a drawing, not a photo).
- Bookings and enquiries: the venue, date, time, guest count, price, status, any note you send the venue, and your Socials enrolments.
- Activity: venues you save, venues you compare, and reviews you write.
- Location: only if you tap "Use my location" on the Near You page, and only to sort venues by distance. We don't store your coordinates.
- Payments: handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment reference and status. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Technical: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and small preferences kept in your own browser (such as dismissing a prompt).
Why we use it
- To run your bookings: confirming slots, passing your booking details to the venue partner, and sending confirmations.
- To show you what you asked for: nearby venues, saved venues, your bookings.
- To keep the platform safe: preventing fraud, abuse and fake reviews.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising on the platform.
Who else receives it
- Venue partners — your name, contact details and booking details for bookings you make with them. They need these to host you.
- Razorpay — to take payments and process refunds.
- Supabase and Vercel — our database, login and hosting providers, which store and serve the data on our behalf.
- Resend — to send booking emails.
- MapTiler — map tiles and place search on the Near You page.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google; MSG91, only to send a one-time code if you sign in by phone.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account is open. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically eight years, even after an account closes. Reviews stay published but can be anonymised on request.
Your choices
- See or correct your details any time under Account settings.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and data to be deleted, by emailing us. We may keep records the law requires us to keep.
- Withdraw location permission in your browser at any time; the Near You page still works by searching for a place.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email. Booking confirmations are part of the service and continue.
Write to support@partybeasts.in and we will respond within 30 days. Unhappy with the response? Our Grievance Officer, [Officer name], is at grievance@partybeasts.in.
Security, children and changes
- Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by database-level rules, and passwords are stored hashed by our login provider.
- The platform is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children.
- We'll update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the current version.
